Cooperation DIF SKOL IF

Sweden's children and young people move too little! DIF Skol IF (a sports association) has for a number of years been working to increase the amount of physical activity among children and young people.

An important part of this is working with schools because all children are here for a large part of their day. Engelska Skolan Novia has therefore chosen to collaborate with DIF SKOL IF since January 2021. Engelska Skolan Novia and DIF Skol IF thus offer Skol IF activities for all students every day - both before the start of the school day between 07.00-09.00 and after the end of the school day 14.00-17.00.

What is a school sports association?

A school sports association is a sports association for and by / with children and young people. The students are on the board, can learn about leadership and plan and carry out lots of physical activity together with leaders from DIF Skol IF. There will be daily opportunities for students to move around completely free of charge and in direct connection with the school day. We believe that this can both make the students move more and reduce  everyday stress for parents/guardians as more activities are linked directly to the school.

Through the collaboration with DIF Skol IF, we get access to  expertise in running a sports association and leading children and youth sports. To participate, the student must be a member of DIF Skol IF and membership is free. Please note that the membership is not linked to any other Djurgårdsförening but DIF Skol IF is an independent school sports association and a member of the Swedish School Sports Association.

To become a member of DIF Skol IF, the student needs to be included in Djurgården's membership register. The register contains first and last name, class, social security number of the student and an e-mail address to a guardian. The membership register is needed to see who is present, inform about activities and ensure that all participants are insured. It will not be used for any purposes other than the above.  Members may also participate and influence the association through the annual meeting and the board. The leader from DIF is at the school every day and is available for questions and answers.
