Our education

Our goal is to offer a high-quality bilingual education to all our students. Our focus on a relational approach , small classes and our zero tolerance for bullying contribute to students getting the best possible start in their academic careers. Small classes provide the students with increased security and study focus.

Based on high teaching quality, the school attracts students who want to lay a good foundation for the future through stable knowledge of both the Swedish and English languages and a great understanding of a rapidly changing world. You also carry with you respect for differences and the values of others without sacrificing democratic principles and humanity. All in all, the students are equipped for life with pride, self-confidence and a hopeful attitude. It is safe and fun to be a student at Novia.

F-5

Within F-5, we work on the basis of two integrated working methods that prepare for lifelong learning. We show our students how they take responsibility for their own learning while we help them build their social skills and empathic abilities.

We see these two factors as a way to develop their potential to be successful both as individuals and in group contexts.

6-9

Teaching for grades 6-9 is done using digital aids where each student gets their own Chromebook.

Our collaboration with Vetenskapens Hus provides an opportunity for our students to participate in activities in a university environment in science, mathematics and technology.

Students in grade 9 are offered the opportunity to take a Cambridge degree in English.

Leisure

English School Novia offers an exciting and engaging Leisure Program for students in grade F-6.

Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities that promote their development, deepen their knowledge of a healthy lifestyle, environmental awareness and friendship.

School library

For an equal school, all students should have access to literature and media as tools and through it be stimulated to use and develop their entire abilities.

Our school library also works to meet and promote the needs of multilingual students.

School lunch

At the English School Novia, lunch and snacks are served daily.

Lunch is served between 10.30-13.00. It is prepared and delivered to us by A Catering Sweden. In addition to the hot food, a rich salad buffet is served, which our own kitchen prepares.

A sugar-free, well-composed snack is served in the afternoon for students enrolled in our leisure activities.

Purposeful premises with good communications

The school is located in modern premises in Årstadal, with close walking distance to the crossroads, subway Liljeholmen and commuter trains in Årstaberg.

We are close to nature and water and take advantage of the opportunities that the outside world offers by discussing current events, making study visits, city walks, going to museums and visiting libraries.
